The Domestic Violence Services Program (DVS) provides emotional and practical support to survivors of domestic violence, primarily those who are not currently staying in SafeHouse Center’s shelter. Our goal is to help survivors to become or remain safe and autonomous.
SafeHouse Center does not work with batterers. However, we refer batterers to responsible Batterers Intervention Programs (BIP), and we collaborate with those programs.
Alternatives to Domestic Aggression (ADA)
ADA specializes in working with male batterers to stop battering. While ADA is operated by Catholic Social Services of Washtenaw County, it offers services on a non-denominational basis and works with people of all, or no, religious affiliation. Visit the ADA Website.
