Direct Service Volunteer Training

All staff and volunteers who will be working directly with survivors or their children are required to complete our crisis intervention training program.  This training is offered twice a year; it is comprehensive and prepares volunteers to become a member of the following programs:

• Response Team
• Shelter/HelpLine
• Children & Youth
• Support Group

Volunteer Training Schedule

Stay tuned for our Fall 2019 Direct Service Volunteer Training dates!

The approximate schedule is as follows; attendance is required for all five days.

• Day 1: Friday from 5:30pm – 9:30pm. Dinner will be provided. 
• Day 2: Saturday from 9:00am – 6:00pm. Light breakfast and an afternoon snack will be provided.
• Day 3: Sunday from 9:00am – 6:00pm. Light breakfast and an afternoon snack will be provided.
• Day 4: Friday from 5:30pm – 9:30pm. Dinner will be provided.
• Day 5: Saturday from 9:00am – 6:00pm. Light breakfast and an afternoon snack will be provided.

All volunteers must complete an application, interview, background check, commit to 6 months of volunteering and attend all sessions in order to volunteer.
