Other Area Organizations

For donations of items that we are unable to accept we recommend contacting the following organizations:

• The Ann Arbor Thrift Shop will accept used clothing and household goods in good condition to re-sell. They welcome our survivors and allow them to “shop” at no cost, and they also make monthly financial contributions to SafeHouse Center and other area non-profits.
• The House by the Side of the Road accepts used clothing, shoes, car seats, and other household essentials. They provide these items at no cost clients who have limited funds.
• HouseN2Home will accept furniture donations and can arrange to pick up the items from you. See items that they are currently accepting and arrange for pickup by emailing [email protected].
• Friends In Deed will accept furniture donations and can arrange to pick up the items from you.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19 these organizations may have temporarily changed their donation policies. Please contact them for the most up-to-date information on their current procedures.
