Giving Hope This Holiday Season

Each year, we rely on the generosity of our community, and this year is no exception. We have had a 51% increase in calls to our crisis line since last December from survivors hoping to find emergency housing at SafeHouse Center. Our shelter offers access to housing, counseling, safety planning, legal help and community resources.

Feeling hopeful about their future can be hard for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Our goal is to help them have hope of a new life, free of violence and fear. 

This holiday season, you can literally change a life with your gift of hope:

$1,000 is the monthly cost to ensure that children in shelter get safely to school, have nutritious meals and receive the support services they need.

$750 pays for two months of translation services for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors who do not speak English fluently.

$500 is the weekly cost of food and kitchen supplies for shelter residents.

$250 pays for the 24-hour response team phone.

$100 pays for five hours of legal advocacy court support.

$75 pays for seven standard size pillows for our shelter residents.

$50 provides a new toy and book to a child staying in our shelter.

$25 pays for the boxes of tissues we use in one week at the shelter.
