Holiday Giving

SafeHouse Center is open seven-days a week, 24-hours a day providing survivors of domestic abuse and sexual assault and their children access to support, safety, and crisis advocacy. Our services are specifically designed to assist survivors with emergency shelter, legal advocacy, crisis support, outreach, support groups, and filing personal protection orders (PPO’s). Children of survivors are also offered support and may attend evening organized play time with trained advocates.

The National Domestic Violence Hot-line began collecting data to track how COVID-19 affects victims and survivors of domestic violence. Over a two-month period, they reported a 9% increase in total calls received, and over 6,000 survivors cited COVID-19 as amplifying the problem. Stay at home orders and also fear of contracting the virus  caused many people to stay in unsafe homes longer.

Your support continues to provide the much needed help survivors in our community rely on as the pandemic continues and cases in Michigan rise again.

Please consider making a difference throughout the entire year with a monthly recurring contribution of $10, $20, $50, or more!

This time of year can be particularly hard for survivors as they try to stay safe while navigating the pressures of the holidays, but your gift will help us care for those who call our helpline looking for a caring voice on the end of the line. With your support, we can provide hope to those who often feel isolated and alone.

SafeHouse Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Gifts to SafeHouse Center can be made in any amount and are completely tax-deductible.
